Grit is an individuals perseverance of effort combined with the passion for a long-term goal. We praise the Lord for this pastor's daughter who showed true grit and persevered after failing her 10th grade exam 5 times. With each failure, she would sit on my porch and say through tears, "But I know that the Lord wants me to finish my education." And each year she would convince us to help her just one more time. After five tries, we enrolled her in a one-year trade school. At the end of that year she tried the exam again and passed! Once again, her passion to finish high school came to life and she was back in school again for 11th grade and finished the year top of her class. We praise the Lord for the true grit that this Christian young woman shows and for the faithfulness of the God in whom she is trusting.

Perseverance in practice is a mighty trait.  Trying over and over again despite failure and continuing until you succeed is inspiring.

Overcoming obstacles is an important part of life and an important part of the Christian walk.
