Cross denominational work: this was the example set by the founder of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He realized that, as much as possible, we needed to work together with other believers to accomplish the task of world evangelization.

This has been a part of the Bobo Team strategy. Our teams that work at the local hospital and the local prison are made up of women from several evangelical denominations. When oriented to the team ministry, it is stressed to keep to the essentials of the Gospel of Christ and avoid identifying members according to the denomination that they are a part of. Working across denominational lines has helped with unity in the larger body of Christ and made for an ever widening sphere of influence as we get others interested in mercy ministries.

Great post. Cross denominational = team work. And that's almost always better than going it alone. God bless the Bobo Team.
