Some call them my gang, others the Hallelujah women, but the name most often given for the women that work alongside me is, "those who walk with Esther". This has been a key philosophy in fulfilling the Great Commission to bring the Gospel to the world. It is not always convenient to travel with a group. It can mean more frequent stops, discussions about which route is the best, or who sits where in the car. And in ministry it means time-sharing with others and not always knowing exactly what is going to be said or how much time another might take. But it is essential that we not walk alone. We must be continually discipling and mentoring others and giving them opportunities to speak, pray, give advice, and share the load of the Great Commission. This has been a focus of the Bobo Team, to always have others beside us, who are learning to share the Good News and are given opportunity to use their ministry gifts.

Teaching moments often come unexpectedly; a demon possessed youth in the church who begins to cry out during the message, a pastor who, over a noon meal, opens up about a serious problem in the church, or even the flat tire or an urgent phone call for a team member in a very remote setting. To be honest, walking alone would be a lot easier and certainly more convenient. But would it bring the same kind of fruit? Our Lord Jesus always had a gang around Him or "those who walked with Him". It is an effective way to train and mentor others for the ministry and to fulfill the Great Commission. Picture is of our women teachers at the Poundou Bible School who often accompany me on ministry trips.Attached File  IMG_3810.jpg   171.65KB   0 downloads

Love your words here--walking alone was never an option for Paul (and he had visions of heaven!). He always longed to fellowship with the believers and churches he planted, no matter their level of spiritual maturity. He had a servant's heart, wanting to help, encourage, correct, and love his fellow brothers & sisters. Thank you for confirming what the Holy Spirit was speaking to my heart.
