It opened with "I'm sorry. . . . I'm a stranger here myself" and continued on discussing how all of us currently on this earthbound journey seem thrust into a hopeless existence of not really knowing what is coming next.
Then he gives the answer to not knowing in today's devotional. Scripture is our basis for knowing and understanding our circumstances. And not just knowing, but informing our next steps.
The last few sentences are what really caught my attention:
It is important that we search the Scriptures daily, and more important still that we approach them with faith and humility, bowing our hearts to their instructions and commands. Then through faith in Christ we cease to be strangers and become sons of God.
Sons of God. Through Faith. In Jesus.
How have you had scripture inform your life in a way that had it not, you would have been lost and on some sort of "bunny trail" ending up as a stranger in who-knows-where?
