Christmas is a time of numerous outreach efforts. After a week of intensive evangelism, a new church will be started in the village of Orodara. December 11 is the date for a youth gathering at our Bible School. This is usually the largest youth event that our church/mission organizes. On December 20th we are hosting a Christmas party for the students and parents at the deaf school. Our missionaries will be preaching and participating in baptismal services. We need your prayers for these important events scheduled for this month.

In The Pursuit of God, A. W. Tozer writes, "Jesus taught that He wrought His works by always keeping His inward eyes upon His Father. His power lay in His continuous look at God (John 5:19-21)."

Thanks - I'd like to use this video for a "Missions Moment" during this coming Sunday's service (12/16/2012). Anything you'd like me to add when I talk about it to our congregation?

Dave,

I would just add specifics about how people can get personally involved. Many people don't have much to give, but we can each give something. It would be great for church members to become personally involved in something so beautiful.
In The Pursuit of God, A. W. Tozer writes, "Jesus taught that He wrought His works by always keeping His inward eyes upon His Father. His power lay in His continuous look at God (John 5:19-21)."

Christmas in Burkina means lots of church events. Many people, those living near a church, join in and we hope that you will pray with us that they will hear about and accept Christ as their Savior. Christmas is also a busy time for missionaries, lots of traveling, lots of events. We have just been given the green light to provide our Tuareg refugees with warm clothing and blankets (it does get cold, even in Burkina), and so this too is an opportunity to share Christ's love. Make sure you thank those in your church that give to the Great commission Fund. That is what allows us to serve here. And thank you for including us in your missions moment.

Bobo Team,
This morning I prayed for the prayer requests in Church Ministries Chapel.
Then I listened to your video and read the prayer requests again.
May God work in the hearts of the Bobo people and open their spiritual eyes of understanding to the greatest gift of all-Jesus

Our event at the deaf school was incredible. How they listened to the message! Of course, almost the whole group of 150 students came forward to accept Christ. Our M.K.'s were able to pray over this group, pack and distribute gift bags, and hopefully catch a glimpse of what ministry to "the least of these" is all about. Thank you for praying. We saw so many answers to prayer.

Bless your work among the least of these. I have been praying for years for the Bobo peoples.... I never thought about the deaf among that culture as a separate unreached people group. Thanks for reaching. You always teach me so much about my God and His love!

Praying regularly,

Great to see Toby & Kirsten ...we're from the N Central Fl area

When you and I stand together in the presence of God- knowing and seeing who He is and all that He has done in His sovereign power to move us from birth to "that Day"- we will pour out our thanks and praise to Him, joyfully doing our best to shake the rafters of heaven.
