ASL disability ministry healing prayer worship

Who told you that worship has a particular sound?
That God responds to the praises of his people?
And hears His sheep when they call?
What if his people were mute, and couldn’t call to the one who created them?
If they were deaf, could they still rejoice at hearing the Savior call their names?
Could their praises still be a resting place for the LORD to dwell?
Who said the sound of worship has to come from your mouth?
‘Cus all I have to offer is this heart and these pair of hands.
If I had no voice to lift up, and no arms to raise the ancient doors, will the King of Glory still come in?
God has never known the sound of my voice. Instead, He chose a more intimate way to communicate.
He connected my heart to my hands and together they form the most perfect union.
A heart confessing a love that only the palm of my hands will get to hear.
Finger tips pulling on the heart of the unknown, now revealed to man.
I wonder if God knows ASL?
‘Cus if He did what would He say?
He placed my hands in His, showed me his nail scared hands and signed, “I love You!”
