I was in the military for 13 years and in that 13 years, I saw the many faces that came from the wars and the troubles that came within them. As a veteran and a recovering Christian, I can certainly tell you the medicines that the hospital gives us to help in the aid PTSD and depression do not help one bit. They can not suppress the memories and nightmares. While in the military, I fell from God as I was in the world, lost and doing my own thing. I was certainly not happy. I was married for a while and that fell apart too. Within that time, God called me back and I was on my knees in prayer, asking for forgiveness of sins and the direction for my life. Now, living in a new place with a new life, God has been moving me and directing me in His will since.
As a veteran, I want to help other veterans who face these troubles.Not with the aid of medicines that will never work but with the healing power of the Gospel of Christ. I want to start this ministry and help my brothers and sisters that have served their country and now need the help.
This will be a tough journey but I am willing to rough it out and follow God's will for my life.
