Has the Heart of God Changed? Do You Care?
Have you read A.B. Simpson’s Daily Devotional today?
The ‘January 25’ devotional challenged me to start this topic today, here in the “Deeper Life” forum.
The verse was “Hold fast that which is good”—1 Thessalonians 5:21, and talked about how we humans, as a normal part of life, tend to change our beliefs from year to year; as we seek Truth.
The Bible says that we are created in the image of God. Does this tendency to ‘change’ come from God?
What does the Bible say about the nature of God, His Heart? Do you know?
Have the fundamental “Heart Desires” of God, “for man”, changed ‘at all’ since the beginning of written history; according to the record of God, the Bible?
Do you have a relationship with God which has established a personal conviction in your heart?
If He has, what ‘Scripture’ has the ‘Spirit of God’ given ‘you’, from His Word, to encourage your belief in what “He is”, His Nature, one way or the other?
This Post is a challenge to all readers; especially those that believe they know God, to have a deeper knowledge of the true nature of God.
It is also a challenge to all the C&MA leaders and followers, to take a few minutes to give a scripture or two that states what you believe about the nature of God. Is not the answer to this question fundamental to a deeper, personal walk with God?
I am not asking for long explanations, just the Scripture, a few verses, should be explanation enough to establish your “yes” or “no” answer to the question; support for your belief. Please include the complete verse with the reference, if you reply.
My desire is for ‘all who will’ to please make a ‘scriptural’ statement of ‘your personal belief’! Please do not ‘debate’ or ‘challenge’ anyone’s response in any replies!
The question:
“Has the fundamental “Heart Desires of God”, for man, changed ‘at all’ since the beginning of Biblical history?”
Thank you, in advance, for your participation!
