Whew......been a while, but I hope to resume my affiliation with this awesome forum.  Heaven knows that I have no excuse NOT to  participate.  There is nothing better than reading about other Christians struggles and how God helps them to overcome and subsequently,  a deeper life with Christ should be the result.  I'll keep this short and sweet 'cause I'm still caring for my invalided mother (Alzheimer's, PEG tube, Foley catheter, etc)  and plus I need to clean the house today. I would RATHER say that my wife and I were going to clean the house today, but evidently, I was called to be a eunich (although, not physically).   (Just a touch of humor).    I love all of you guys because you have put up with so much of my scrutiny back a couple of years ago and yet, you still loved me and helped me.  I have a lot of new threads to read whose topics look very intriguing.  I will hit the LIKE button for each response but if there is still a limit on the number of "LIKES" as there was two years ago, then I want be able to LIKE all of the posts. But that won't mean that I don't like your posts. That just means that the web-masters, in their collective wisdom, decided to limit the number of LIKES to a certain number per day.  But that's okay too. I am THEIR guests and will continue to operate under their conditions.    I wish each of you......EACH of you......the very happiest of Christmas-times.  Sincerely.....Kevin  Blankenship

There are " good tidings of great joy" in my heart today all because I allowed Jesus into to my life.  As Charles H. Gabriel

 wrote:

  1. So precious is Jesus, my Savior, my King;
    His praise all the day long with rapture I sing;
    To Him in my weakness for strength I can cling,
    For He is so precious to me.
    • Refrain:
      For He is so precious to me,
      For He is so precious to me;
      ’Tis heaven below, my Redeemer to know,
      For He is so precious to me.
  2. He stood at my heart’s door ’mid sunshine and rain,
    And patiently waited an entrance to gain;
    What shame that so long He entreated in vain,
    For He is so precious to me.
  3. I stand on the mountain of blessing at last,
    No cloud in the heavens a shadow to cast,
    His smile is upon me; the valley is past,
    For He is so precious to me.
  4. I praise Him because He appointed a place
    Where someday, through faith in His wonderful grace,
    I know I shall see Him, shall look on His face,
    For He is so precious to me.
  5. Merry Christmas!

Thanks Kevin,

I was reflecting the other day on all that Jesus was and is.

I do not often meditate on what it would be like to be involved in the uncomprehendable events of creation, experience all that heaven is and have a very close relationship to our Heavenly Father, to then be reduced to a human being. To know that you will be suffering the worst that this world has to dish out. Realizing that to fail would brake the heart of Your Father.

It is a season to rejoice in, but also a time for reflection. Do I love Him, Jesus, as He loved His Father?

May your relationship with Jesus abound, to the Glory of our Father, in the coming year!!

Thanks again for your thoughtfulness,

Tim
