After teaching out in a village yesterday afternoon, as night was falling, it was time to leave. With a van full of people, including several children, there was no response when I turned the key to start the engine. A quick check to make sure I was doing everything right and another try to get the motor going, resulted in nothing. Now several tries to push start and again nothing. We gathered around the van to pray. It had been a long day and how long until a mechanic could get to us? After prayer, the pastor said, "Let's push the van one more time. I think it will start." By now, I just wanted to sit down and cry. But, with his encouraging and seeing the concern on the faces of my travelers, I agreed. Sure enough, the sound of the engine starting brought cheers from all those around. For me, it brought to mind the words: "Father-like He tends and spares us, well our feeble frame He knows, in His hands He gently bears us, rescues us from all our foes." He sent us on our way with clapping and with everyone praising the God who never forgets His children.
Well our feeble frame He knows
