..... So many things about the crucified life and some have mentioned books by Watchman Nee so just posting and hoping that this post is not 'too' much....  some items from the article grasp my interest and believe it stays true to a Deeper Life focus... and sharing about....

Typing or pasting Crucified Christ (The) –by Witness Lee into Google yields the link to the book .....  Clicking the link  goes to the book ... the book may be read online.

Many other books by Watchman Nee and Witness Lee and more are available online at Living Stream Ministry web links.

CMA and Tozer mentioned in excerpt…..
http://en.wikipedia....Lord's_Recovery

Excerpted from Wikipedia article:

Some among the Christian and Missionary Alliance such as Albert Benjamin Simpson and A. J Gordon who taught practiced living by faith and divine healing; Robert Pearsall Smith who taught that sanctification came through consecration and faith; Mrs. Hannah Whitall Smith who wrote ‘’The Christian’s Secret of a Happy Life’’; others such as Stocknell, Evan Hopkins, and Andrew Murray, who wrote ‘’The Spirit of Christ,’’ continued what Guyon’s denial of the self and began conferences that led to the Keswick Convention; H. C. Trumbull who spoke on the overcoming life at the Keswick Convention; Mrs. Jessie Penn-Lewis who wrote ‘’War on the Saints’’ and taught about the cross of Christ with help of the writings of Guyon; and Brother Holden who experienced and taught lessons on the cross with help from Penn-Lewis’ teachings. Watchman Nee and Witness Lee considered themselves as beneficiaries of this “recovery” and believed that they were part of its continuation.[2][3][4][5]Others considered as part of the Lord’s recovery are Johann Arndt, Theodore Austin-Sparks, Margaret E. Barber, Bernard of Clairvaux, Jacob Boehme, Peter Böhler, John Bunyan, Brother Lawrence (Nicholas Herman), Jan Hus, George Henry Lang, William Law, Dwight Lyman Moody, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, William Tyndale, John Wycliffe, Aiden Wilson Tozer, and many others.[6]

Currently I am working with Witness Lee's Life-Study of Hebrews and was blessed to order the electronic editions  of the Life Recover Bible and Life-Studies some years back...  Just didn't stay with these materials.  "God KNOWS".....

All the things that life has brought keep bringing me to know that for me it simplifies to say "God Knows".
It is not easy to do things now.... so I hope and pray and trust that God KNOWS helps quell anxiety and just trust .... God will never fail.... and I'll stop making with words.....

Except... :-)

Thank you.
God Bless.
Bless God.

Love and prayers,
Ginger

PS: The testimony of Witness Lee may be helpful .... and again thank you.

Ginger.  Now there is a thread that is unselfish and instructive. And I want to THANK YOU heartily!!!!!!

I learned the value of reading the classics by reading "The Pursuit of God" by AW Tozer. I recall how ......BLESSED!....that I felt and how wonderful it was that I could actually identify with some of the material.  But it also instructed me on many many points where growth in my walk with Jesus is sorely needed.

I feel SO GOOD this morning. I feel that God loves me. So when I opened up the Deeper Life Forum and read your post, I am instantly even more blessed.  Thank you for this thread!!!!

Tozer has helped me immensely with my walk too.  I've read several of his books. One gave me great insight and instruction on understanding the soul and the spirit. The soul being the earthly being concerned with everyday life and the spirit that can ultimately be made a new creature communing with God all day long. I've also become much more aware of when I trying to please people versus pleasing God. Our Savior is so precious to see all our unique gifts and flaws and to handle us accordingly. The question is how willing are we to expose everything to Him? and how much will we trust Him with our lives?

:Love and peace to you both. bets

Thank you Bets!

Been open and became willing to be open with and be seen when it's not easy.  Shared with a dear sister about being seen when things look so bad is a real "Pride buster".  God Knows.  Looked back at what materials I'd been blessed with too and was blessed to see CMA, Simpson and Tozer in the wickipedia article.  Tozer is one of my very favorite authors and I'd forgotten about Witness Lee, and him being very devoted to the Lord... needed to relook at some things..... :-) God Knows ....

Thank you so much for posting.

Love you!

Ginger

Speaking of Tozer and major Ian Thomas, he has some good sermons as mp3 download for those who have ipods or similar devices. I think Tozer is always first on my ipod so if it ever reboots then there he is speaking.
