A guest pastor spoke at my church for this past Sunday morning services. He said something to us that caught most of us attention. He said, “ You know, in this technology driven world we live in now, there is more access to the Bible than there has ever been before, but so less people reading the Bible daily, including Christians. That is sad. ” This blew me aware as I had to admit that I could see is point as very true.
You know what is sad?

Amen and Amen Christopher!

Whoa…good word and good reminder. God's word deserves more than the phrase "Scripture…there's an app for that."

I hear many people say "If God doesn't judge The USA, then he'll have to apologize for Sodom and Gomorrah". First of all, disagree with the statement. Second, if God were to judge us, IMO, it won't be because of the cocktail lounges, and strip joints, but because we have easy access to His Word, and don't bother to read it.
I've heard the testimony of a man from Somalia, who told of them tearing out pages of a Bible, to smuggle and share with each other. And Ravi Zacharias shared the story of a Vietnamese prisoner, who was retrieving pages of a Bible, out of the trash, because the commander, was using it for toilet paper.
I personally am embarrassed to say I don't spend time with Him, in Word and Prayer enough, when I hear stories like that.
