God has to teach me lessons sometimes over and over, just when I think I got it this time I will not have it and be led with His realization that I never have it God does though and He is so faithful to His word not to give up on me,thank you Jesus! The phone call came just when I settled down to rest(finally) she said she needed food and hated to ask as we had helped once before, she had called several churches with no luck, either they were out or not open or you had to have attended there.I said let me call you back, she pressed me are you going to help.I wanted to but also did not want to be bothered.i told my husband of her request and he shook his head in sadness when I relayed info about the churches not willing, My husband reminded me we just helped out someone else the day before,it was time for someone else to step up. I sat there ready to accept his decision and silently prayed for God to take away my anger at the organized religious institutions tthat turned away a hungry sister.....then we prayed out loud what God would have us do.....somewhere in the bible Jesus speaks"whatever you do for the least of these you do for me" with all anger gone I told my husband we are His church and a hungry person called us we should feel honored that she would ask and blessed that there is more than enough food in our house to share,we filled four bags from our home and I so happily took it to her and she so gratefully recieved it,and to think we almost missed the blessing we have in Jesus working through us because we were tired or thought we had done our part already,God knew she had a need,he knew we had an abundance and He also knows we needed a reminder of who is in control.and we are that someone no matter what we "feel",we are all someone at one time or another on the end of giving or recieving, thank you Lord for this reminder... :)

I can relate to this post and sometimes we have to get back to the Word to straighten out our thinking.
