My question is this:

When I began to have a time over breakfast I have found the authors or publishers have workbooks that go with their books.  If they don't they talk and talk and talk about journaling.  They say that God only wants us to journal our bible study or journal our prayers.

I don't want to Journal any Bible study, unless I am writing a book.  I DO NOT LIKE WRITING MY PERSONAL PRAYERS DOWN, THAT IS PRIVATE.  unless it is only for someone else I do not pray publicly.

Why am I feeling like I must journal to go to Heaven?

Keep me in your prayer.

Hi Gordy - Thanks for soliciting our feedback about this topic. I've never heard anywhere that journaling is a requirement to get to heaven. However, I've known seasoned believers who encourage the practice, especially as a way of keeping track of answered prayers. That way, we can go back and see God's faithfulness to us. I've found this to be very beneficial in my own prayer life.

It is my understanding that a personal prayer journal is not necessarily meant to be shared but can just be a private record of answered prayer. At the same time, a journal can be useful in sharing testimonies of how God has been at work in one's life.

If you don't like the idea of journaling, I see no reason why you should feel pressured to do so. Have you gone to a Bible study where this was required? If so, that may not be the study for you.

I pray that God will give you the answers you seek as you prayerfully explore this topic.

You do what God leads you to do on this one friend,if you find it helpful or wanna try it and scripture is silent on it I don't see how this could be a "requirement" sometimes what is beneficial for one might be torture to another, you are free to choose here i believe.....

Brother,
Do as the Lord directs you, not man. It's Jesus we glorify and worship.
