Today I went to church. I recently returned to church from my break. I am so grateful I returned to the only place that ever felt remotely like home and family.

However, Today I learned of 3 separate people passed away last week. I am not sure who of them was saved or not as they all were not attendees of my church. I only hope that they all were saved and went as peacefully as possible.

Today, after church, a family member who we knew was dying ( stage 4 terminal cancer ) also died after I got home and took me mom out for lunch. This person was passing number 4 with in the last week and the one that hit closest to home. I know they did not suffer as of the details of their evolving condition. This I am so grateful for. I do not know if they were saved or not.

Four passing with in a week. It gets your attention. Got mine. As me mom found out and her health has become a serious issue, mom keeps saying “ I’m Next. ” meaning her. I don’t know when mom’s turn will happen for sure, just what her doctor has told me. Mom knows even less for her own best interests. God knows. Not us. I try to keep mom from focusing on her eventual passing and enjoy the life she has before her.

My family I grew up with is one of ego and greed only. Compassion and love is merchandise that can be bought, sold, traded, so on. So I will not find the support I need, the love I crave, or the place I belong with in them. But life is a gift and blessing. Today, the reminder was given and so as I struggle with mom’s care and my life ahead, I am grateful for what I do have. Eventually my time will come and all on earth for me will no longer be mine. Enjoy life. The passing of life is here for all of us eventually.

My husband knew when it was his time ... all of a sudden he said, "well, I think it's time to go."

I pray that when it is your mom's time to go, that she will be comfortable and at peace, like my husband was ... and for you, to be able to endure it.

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.

We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair;

we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed.
